Susan Greenwood joined Hatch Brenner in 1999, and has specialised in commercial property work for the vast majority of her time with the firm. Originally from Halifax, Susan studied for an English Literature degree at Royal Holloway, University of London, and subsequently taught in Sweden and Italy. She decided to pursue a legal path and undertook conversion and qualifying courses at Chester College of Law from 1976-77. She then completed her training as a solicitor during a three-year spell at the Great Yarmouth offices of Mears Hobbs & Durrant.
In 1982 Susan moved to London as a civil litigation lawyer for a Fleet Street firm, becoming a partner in 1985. She returned to Norfolk in 1994 as a personal injury specialist with Eversheds, but switched into commercial property shortly after joining Hatch Brenner in 1999. A large proportion of her work involves acting for landlords or tenants in the granting and taking of leases.
Susan has two grown-up children, and her interests include walking in her native Yorkshire. She has studied a variety of English Literature-based courses at the University of East Anglia, and is a member of Haddiscoe parochial church council.
