Race for Life
|
‘On Saturday 1st May Hatch Brenner partner Rose Escott and her daughter Emily together with Hatch Brenner colleagues Ali Masterson,Bridgette Clemmett,Janet Sayer,Jacqui Hallett and Alison Riches all completed the Cancer Research UK 5km ‘Race for Life’ at Norwich Showground.Ladies and girls- ranging from the very young to the ‘more mature’- all took part, many wearing the pink tutus, wings and wigs which are now an almost traditional part of the occasion. They were joined at the start by a mixture of supporters, children and dogs all of whom added to the excitement of the day.
Many of the participants had suffered-or lost close relatives to- cancer which made their individual contributions all the more poignant and spurred many to achievements beyond their expectations.Several joined in with dogs, pushchairs or wheelchairs with the sole object of completing the course somehow, whether by walking, jogging or running,to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.
The Hatch Brenner team all completed the course and send grateful thanks to all their army of supporters and friends who helped them to raise a total of £550 for this very worthy cause.’
